On November 11th, 2025, we took the stage at the ICFE-BD – the 11th International Conference "Innovation, Integration and Inclusion in the Modern Economy" – hosted by the Faculty of Economics Brčko, University of East Sarajevo. I presented the scientific paper titled: "Implementation of a Circular Business Model for Sustainable Growth: Integrating PET Recycling Technology into the Green Industry 5.0 Agenda." This international gathering brought together around 70 academic staff members from various countries, all diving into fresh ideas on innovation and sustainable economic models.
The presentation put strong spotlight on our ecosystem: the Network of Innovation Laboratories (MIL) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ReX TeX as the active digital innovation lab in Brčko, Digital Storm platform, FabLab B&H, and the Innoxcelerate project. We highlighted how these connected initiatives are turning circular economy concepts into real action – like turning PET waste into filament for 3D printing, fueling green prototyping, and pushing Industry 5.0 principles with human-centered tech and sustainability at the core. It was a chance to show how local makerspaces and labs are bridging academic research with practical, hands-on impact for entrepreneurs and communities.
The discussion sparked great energy and new connections – proof that linking science, open labs, and EU-backed projects like Innoxcelerate can drive real change. Shoutout to the Faculty of Economics Brčko for hosting such a solid event. If you're into building sustainable tech solutions or just want to see how recycling meets futuristic making, drop by ReX TeX – the tools are ready, the ideas are flowing. Let's keep pushing the green agenda forward! 🚀
